Cakephp Install Rewrite Issue

If you are finding your rewrites aren't working on an installation of CakePHP, it will no doubt be your Apache config that is throwing you off. Remember to open up AllowOverride clause to allow the .htaccess file to function.

<Directory /var/www/cake/app/webroot>

AllowOverride None

</Directory>

If you are still having problems make sure there aren't other configutation like other rewrites that are interfering with the cake install.
