Betsy is a geologist and mountaineer from Vancouver. She has a passion for wild places and the plants and animals that populate them. Betsy works part time as a surficial geologist, looking at landforms on air photos, and wandering around in the field looking at rocks and soil. In her spare time she wanders around the mountains, forests and coastlines near Vancouver, looking at rocks, plants, birds or anything else that seems interesting.
She has recently become interested in sharing her passion for the natural world with others through writing and school presentations.
